? during National Police Week

A quick question. During Police Memorial Week, is it appropriate to wear mourning bands all week or just on the 15th? Thanks.

I've been wearing mine all week ... and the sad part is ... I can't count how many of our officers have asked me "Did someone die? Why are you wearing the black band?"

I guess next year I'll try and tke it into my own hands and get our department rolling again with Police Week. We used to have blue ribbons for our cars etc ... but haven't in the past few years.
