Quicky question:

Been in background for around 6 months without a peep from Alcoholic Bevarage Control.... I know the state takes a loooooong time but The two times I had to do backgrounds for jobs I held before (in this industry as a CO) 6 months was a long time. Any insight into the process with this agency?

Took the test (surprisingly difficult) and got an 85, which put me in rank 9(!!!) so I thought that they would not continue me.... then I got the background packet with 14 duty locations........ nothing since 6 months ago.

I can't really help you, but I can say that ABC is a pretty good agency. I was a decoy for them a couple times on the "shoulder tap" program. I would stand outside a store and as people went in and tell them that I was under 21 and if they could buy my a "40".

When the brought me my beer, I would give a signal to the waiting agents, and I would quickly walk away. The agents would move in from different locations, and arrest the suspect. It was pretty cool to see them in action.

By the way..my local background took about 2 months, and the BI was only doing backgrounds and me and one other person! It takes time to gather all your information....I'm sure that the sate will take a long time.
