I've done research about the Santa Clara SO online and know all about the salary, benefits, courts and patrol assignments, but I'd like a personal perspective hopefully from a SCSO deputy.

What's the agency like? How busy are beats (I assume the downtown SJ beats are MUCH busier than Los Altos hills)? What's the culture/atmosphere of the department?

And how is the equipment and support from admin?
