Northampton PD

What's up people. Can anyone tell me anything about the Northampton PD? MPTC is looking at my training records right now, and once they give me their blessing, I'll be applying there. I just want to find out as much as I can about the department, and not the kind of stuff the brass is going to tell me. I want the skinny on it, both good and bad. Great place to work. I had many dealings with the dept, and one of our Sgts is a former PO from there. Nice area to live also. The city has its share of riff-raff, and lots of knuckleheads passing through.

The bad side is that the city is ultra liberal, I mean like San Francisco liberal. The citizens are a little quirky and the courts aren't very aggressive. You'll also find the cost a living a bit of a shock compared to NC.
