Ok folks ... writing a social investigative report for a class ... been following the "child" for the last 12 weeks and today received the issue.

Child told his friend we was thinking about suicide. Friend told school counselor, counselor called police. Did a search of his vehicle (of course with no probable cause ... fairy tail story lol) found rifle in the trunk ... unloaded but shells in the trunk also.Child is a hunter, could of been for hunting ... given the time of the year ... could be for something else. School wanted counseling ... police filed a petition.

After looking on the legislative website I didnt find much.

Anyone one know what the penalties for carrying a firearm on school properties ... minimum or maximum penalties. Any similar cases?

or where I could find the info.

Also any professional comments are welcomed on what you would do or think of this situation.

Not much comes out of those, except for probation depending on the history....sounds like a referral to ES at CMH to me.
