Yes, I know I posted this question already, but I figured this might be the better section to get answers about my questions. Thanks!

I am working on finishing up college and am beginning to look at departments/agencies I might be interested in working at. One of these is the Colorado State Patrol. It's a beautiful state and I think I could be happy there, but wanted to get others' perspectives. What good/bad things have you heard about the department? I do realize it's a lot of traffic, but I am not necesarily bothered by that. I appreciate any and all input, as I know very little about this dept. Thanks!

The CSP is a good organization. Over the years, I've hired a few of their Troopers away, and almost all of them turned out to be an asset to the agency. However, the scope of their job is somewhat limited. The CSP just deals with traffic. Write tickets. Investigate crashes. That's about it. Personally, I'd rather have a somewhat broader scope.
