Hello all,
I am seeking employment with the LVMPD but have a medical issue that I can not seem to find the answer to. In July of 2005 I had a couple of seizures and was placed on medication. I went through a complete battery of tests and nothing was ever found to be wrong with me. EEG, CAT scans, and blood chemistry were all normal. I am currently on a persciption where I take one pill a day and have had no further incidents since that time and feel great. Is this an automatic disqualifier or do they evaluate it on an individual basis? I would like to know before i get my hopes up. I currently have a job that requires me to stand and physically work most of the shift so i know i can take physical work and be fine. Some police departments here in Utah say its a disqualifier but the majority say its fine as long as i can do the job. So if anyone knows the police that the LVMPD has and can tell me about this issue, or direct me to somewhere that I can find out, I would be greatful.
Thanks again!
