Computer voice stress analyzer........This is apparently much like a polygraph, but better I guess. Anyways the point is that I have to take one of these to get hired on with this department. I have never taken anything like this before and do not know what to expect at all. Any information on this would be much appreciated.

I took the Polygraph (old school with needles and ink) and I asked about the CVSA the Polygrapher told me the CVSA was.. "bogus".. in a few more interesting words.
CVSA basically reads if you are nervous when answering a question then you must be lying. pretty much the same with the polygraph but CVSA just measures voice.. polygraph measures pulse, breathing, etc..
just be honest.
good luck
p.s. here is some cvsa propoganda for you.

I've done both when testing in the past. It is kinda of a preference thing for departments between the two test I figure. Just be honest and you can't go wrong. Good luck.

This CVSA was for the Junction City P.D. I just took it last week and it was pretty easy I think. The interviewer said that I passed, he said apparently I have no stress in my life...Which is a crock, cause I was too nervous not to notice. I've never taken a test like that, so its understandable that you would be nervous. The important thing is thats one more test down.
