Still here...and lovin' it

What's goin' on? Just thought I'd drop in; haven't been here in a while. Those that remember by last posts can stand at ease, I'm not going to complain about my dept. I would like to say thanks to a couple of people in particular on this board who gave some great advice when I needed it: Don, Nite, DesertRat...you guys area great, and if I left someone out, it doesn't mean you advice wasn't good (it means I have a memory like a 90 year old man). I've gone back to college and am a couple classes away from getting my AA degree. After that I'm going to look around for a larger dept. (I just don't know where) that appreciates it's motivated employees. So anyway, that's all I'm going to say for now, I'll try to get in the board more often. Hey, Rat, two guys from my department just got hired with metro, start the 27th, good guys, real street cops- I hope you get to work with them. They've been trying to get me to go with them, but I don't know, Vegas? aren't there some, I don't know, FREAKS out there? (on second thought...)

Freaks is a relative term. Out here, policy requires that we call them citizens. Where I came from, freaks qualified. I just did an accident Sunday where I had to ask one of the driver's what sex they were biologically. That is considered a normal conversation here. We also have more silicone per square mile than any county in the country. And one of wife's favorite nights out is something she calls hoing which involves driving around on Fremont street watching the hos work and laughing her ***** off when they are in the rooms and back out again in 3 minutes or less. Yeah, I guess we have a few freaks out here. Present company included.
