and I have school in 3 hours for 8 hours!!!
Just if you are wondering why I havn't slept since 12pm Sunday..well I don't know..but I'm really starting to become very tired.
:)
Any of you guys stay up this long? And why? :rolleyes:

Got out of work at 1130 ChiTown time and am up watching XFiles marathon on TNT. Sucks to be you. Get a power nap in before school and at lucnh. Should feel better. If not then go to the ATM and get some moolah cuz the Starbucks all day will be exspensive!

The longest I've ever been awake was just over 24 hours on my graduation. I worked the same day that my After-grad party ended. It really sucked. At least you can sort of sleep through school. Take a micro recorder with you and tape your lectures and zone out through class for awhile.

Call in a sick day. Take two generic brand sleeping pills...and SLEEP!!!!!!!!

I was doing an adventure race last October. The race started at midnight, and we had already been awake for 16 hours at that point. There was a cluster-f*ck with gear drops along the course, and we ended up racing for 38 hours without a break before we finally had a chance to sleep. So, in all we were up for 54 hours before we finally slept.
You're brain does some extremely strange things when you get to that point. Continual visual and auditory hallucinations. Sleeping, dreaming and walking all at the same time. I had to ask my team-mate a number of times if what I was hearing and/or seeing in front of me was real (sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't).
We covered 400 miles in 5 days 10 hours and 43 minutes. Not exactly sure, but nearest we can figure is a little over 9 hours of sleep in that time. Took me a couple of weeks to recover, but I hope to do it again.

I think my record was about 38 or 39 hours for a homicide investigation. I have had a lot of cases that kept me up for between 24 and 36 but 38ish was probably the most.
Trying to run an investigation after being up for that long really starts to do more to damage a case than help it's solvability factor. At about the 30 to 35 hour range its time to get some sleep.

I'm halfway through my day, and it's alright I guess...
But anyway, I havn't been able to sleep right ever since I had those paralysis dreams. I'm starting to average maybe 14 hours of sleep a week.

Perhaps you should go see a doctor. Maybe he/she will send you to a sleep specialist.

Finally school day is over lol...........I think I'm going to lay down ;). A cookie does sound good though..I may drive to holiday to pick some up

Ive done 30 hour stretches a few times. Maybe alittle more. That was when I was in my last dept. and had court in the AM after a night shift. Get up usually around 3pm, work from 12pm to say 8am then in court for all day till 2 or 3 pm. Then back home and have a day off so might as well stay up till after midnight.
TImmy I think we're all starting to get worried about you...

Since i started college ive been busy..every week we get this project where we have to hand draw a plan of a building which can take up to 20 hours.. And we only have a week to do it.
20 divide 5 = like 4 hours that i have to spend daily on that one subject.. im pretty busy ;)
Also i dont think its a big problem if you don't get enough sleep...I'm no longer a kid I don't need those 8 hours of sleep..2-4 a day can suffice.

I always need a nap. Even after I nap. Seems like the older I get, the more aches and pains I have. Sleep is my only escape. I see now why the old folks' homes are filled with old people that sleep all day. It's all they look forward to.

Maybe you need to take nutritional supplements, I know that I notice a difference when I'm not getting enough vitamins.
