Hey,

My name is Cory, I live in Belfry, KY. Which is post 9. I am wondering if anyone knows what time the cbtt course must be completed in? I train almost everyday and have a decent 1/4 mile time. I really need some input. I also need some advise on the oral review. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When I went through in 2003 a time of 2:00 min. was pretty good. My first time I messed up and ran like a 2:30 and didn't make it. The interview consists of three people. Two were in Trooper uniform. They asked about eight questions or so. Anything from why you want to join KSP to how you would work well alone because sometimes Troopers do.

You have to run the CBTT in under 2:00 min to max it; after that one point is deducted per second over 2:00 min. My recommendation is to concentrate on sprinting/relays because that is what it is. Also, pull the dummy w/ one hand not two.

Thanks for the replys, I run a 1/4 mile in 1:17. I think that is pretty good. So have anyone went through the whole academy? How long is process, and when does the academy start?

What should I wear when I go for the written and cbtt test? Thanks

Your run time sounds excellent. If I were you, I'd wear a pair of khakis and a polo if you have it. Bottom line, there is not a requirement that you dress nice, but it goes a long way. You will need to bring some workout clothes and shoes for the CBTT. Good luck.
