DoD and DA officers can and do make quality arrests. :)
I thought you were banned....
As we all know, MP's and most civilian DoD cops can APPREHEND but don't have statutory arrest authority.
Unless you can quote me a FEDERAL STATUTE that says MP's and DoD civilian cops can make arrests and serve warrants...
As we all know, judges can't make STATUTORY law, only CASE law...

Trying to create legislation by a public opinion poll? Sure, why not.
I predict most young MP's will probably opine that they DO have the power of arrest. I thought I did too, when I was a young MP and before I knew better.

The Marines need MP's real bad right now, but you probably won't be doing LE.
You'll be doing combat support in theater, either light mobile patrols or running an internment camp.

Once a Marine, always a Marine****** Spent many lazy summer days around Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune. Great people and the best military families on the face of the earth. I really miss early breakfast at Yahannas old drug store? Any of your remember the lil' town of Swansboro on the river and int coastal waterway? Great place and great people. Oh, how I miss those ole' salties! Gotta get back soon 1 day! Semper Fi******
