Ok, I will start this off the way everyone wants to see it so they can laugh at me first. Hi my name is Dave, I'm not an LEO but I soon hope to be once I get out of the Marine Corps. I will be moving to the D/FW metroplex and will be looking to get started soon. I have also thought about sponsoring myself through the academy at the local college to get me TCLEOSE. Any input and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I got out of the Marines in early 2005. I would recommend though with military experience let someone else pay for the academy. semper fi

First, I want to thank you for serving the greatest country on the planet. Second, thank-you for taking the time and writing. I guess you have a bunch of other things you can be doing. Third, if your having trouble getting a law enforcement job in Texas, come on down to the sunshine state of Florida. We're always looking for great Americans for our law enforcement jobs.
Thank-you again.

Also if you are sponsored by a department going into the academy, you can draw your GI bill at a full time student rate in addition to your normal pay. (in arizona anyway not sure about D/FW) Also welcome
