METAIRIE, La. (AP) -- A man dressed in high-heels, a black pageboy wig and a leather coat robbed a 24-hour doughnut and coffee shop here and made off with the day's take from video poker machines, authorities said.
The robber herded four employees into the back of Tastee Donuts just after midnight Sunday and ordered them to give him the money, Jefferson Parish deputies said.
He left through a back door, a police report said.
No one was injured in the robbery and the report did not say how much money was stolen.
Three customers in the store told detectives they did not realize the business had been held up.
