BSO assignments

I tried a search for this topic, but no luck. My question is how does BSO decide where their deputies go? Is it based off of where the deputy lives? Or is it like the Army and they just send you were they need the guns?

its probably like most county agencies.. they attempt to put you within a reasonable distance of where you live.. but if they need you else where for operational reasons thats where you go.

It depends where you live, if you live on one side of the county you will be in the district on the other side of the county. Just kidding it seems that they send the new guys to the district that has money left in the budget. most of the districts are short people but they dont have the money to fill the spots.
