Arkansas Sex Offender Not Listed on Arkansas Sex Offender Registery

I have been trying to find a Registered Sex Offender in Arkansas. Richard Edward Gates was listed with the Pike County Sheriffs office in Murfreesboro, Arkansas in 2003 and 2004. If my memory serves me correctly he was convicted of 1st degree sexual battery of an 11 year old female, Athena Rogers July 8, 1998, and was sent the the Tucker Unit of the Arkansas Dept Of Corrections.
The last time I had any information on Gates, it was noted that the above was his latest and most recent conviction, and incarceration.
I know that he was paroled from Texarkana, (whether Texarkana is Texas or Arkansas, I am not for certain) August 2003.

Since 2005 I have not been able to find Richard E. Gates on any State or National Database for Registered Sex Offenders, and I was hoping that someone could tell my WHY.

Have you been able to check to see if he moved to another state or he could possibly be deceased. He could be absconding from reporting. Have you called Pike County and asked them why he is not registered with them?

I called the Pike County Sheriffs Dept, all they told me is that yes, he is listed with them, but they couldnt tell me anymore than that. They told me I could go online and look him up, but they wouldnt tell me anymore than that.
Which he isnt listed online, and for the life of me I cannot fathom why.
Since he is registered at the Sheriffs office, why isnt he on any database???


I have called there in the past when I was goin thru my divorce with my ex. As always when ever I have called the have always been quite curt with me.. however that me be so of every Sheriffs Dept not just this one. Or maybe its just me and I am paranoid and bitchy.
