Anyone collect/build scale model cruisers? There are a lot of good sites out there with neat cars like Border Patrol, Capitol Police, NY/NJ Port Authority, LAPD, etc. Found another cool site that'll make a custom cruiser from pics of your agency's car for $20, including the car. (http://www.signal-1.com/RCcinfo.htm) I'm thinking about getting a Plano PD cruiser done, then one of those Mexican squad cars with "POLICIA" on it like they had in Traffic.

Anyone else into this stuff?

Since I've been on the street, I've had 4 different call signs. So I've collected a vehicle with each call sign on it with the appropriate year of the vehicle.

I have never looked for the model kits, but I have bought the large die-cast metal RCMP cars for my kids and children of our friends. There are several models available at the Canteen at our Academy - old black-and-white Fords, new white Camaros, Crown Vics and Suburbans. I THINK the gift shop in the Museum at the Academy MAY also sell these items as well.
If anybody is ever wanting to buy some of these (some come with the clear plastic display case with a cloth RCMP shoulder badge in the lid) eMail me and I can check prices (incl. shipping) and let you know.

There are a few examples of international agencies, though they usually use American cars as the base, try asking them for a different car if you want.
