Does anyone know of any agencies where you can strictly work court services only (court security, civil process)? I know the feds have an opportunity with akal security for Federal Court Houses, but you must be an LEO first.

most local Sheriff department handle court security, and you would stand a good chance in staying there for sometime if you wanted too

Our Sheriff's Dept. has it's own region that handles the county courthouse and civil processes which also included transportation and our patty-wagon.

I'm going through the hiring process for Cobb County (Atlanta area) Sheriff's office. The Sheriff's office provides courthouse security and civil and criminal warrant service.

Most departments like I describe also run the detention facilities. In Cobb County's situation a new deputy must agree to work at the County Jail and the Pre-Detention center until a vacancy in Court or Field Services becomes available (about 2-3 years).

So the answer to your question is Yes, BUT you must work as a Detention officer first.
