Greetings to all,

I recently returned from the Alaska State Trooper selection process in Anchorage. After 10 days of medicals, interviews, polygraphs, pft's, and psychological testing, I'm now waiting for the decision. The Troopers are top notch, the ride-along was great. I've been a law enforcement officer for over 6 years in Germany, and I was still awed.

So now the waiting game begins. I believe I "passed" everything, but the competition is tough (pilots, CO's).

Has anyone else on the board been through the process, or has anyone else already received a job offer. It would be great to get some feedback from other applicants.

Thanks,
WB

Congrats on doing well on your testing. While I wasn't a Trooper in Alaska, (I worked for a municipal agency), I did go through the Dept of Public Safety Training Academy in Sitka, which is where the Troopers get all their initial training as well as numerous city agencies.

I agree that the Troopers are a top notch agency. You'd be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, professional organization anywhere. Anyway, I can't provide info or insight in reference to their hiring process per say, however, I do remember what the Academy was like and can provide information in that realm if you're interested (Can you say 'Begin working out now'?)

Again, congrats and best of luck to you.
