Not too many non-hillbilly towns will take laterals. You have to be MCJTC certified to work. If you're on the job already, I would stay there until someone hires you with a job here. One of our new guys left Atlanta PD to come back to MA and got on with the MSP.

Like Extreme said look else where other than Mass....Working as part timer in a non civil service town I'm looking at a minimun of 5 years before seeing a full time position....and addtionally working as a fulltime college officer for just over three years I'm giving serious consideration to leaving Mass and going somewhere else...I've waisted almost ten years dealing with Mass Civil Service while some of my out of state friends got on full time in depts within two years... :mad:
