You put your resume in through CPOL? If so, go back to that website and search for the hiring process. If you have LE experience, whether Military or Civilian an they pick you, a person from a Human Resources Office will contact you. No test involved besides a drug test.
I followed the link from USAjobs. Placed my resume in to RESUMIX and did the self nomination form. I read the job discription etc. I was looking for a heads up from someone who has been through it for what to expect.

Like I said. You will hear from someone in the Human Resources Dept for the Army. It usually takes anywher from 30-90 days to hear something and thats if they are still hiring off a certain announcement. You can check your status off of CPOL under "View Status". That will tell you whether you will be considered or not.
And if you are not retired military or have 10 points Pref. Kiss the job goodbye. Vets with 10 points have pref. over you.

Actually, you still stand a chance, it just depends on if any 10 pt pref. vets (Combat wounded, disabled) are ahead of you in the running, followed by the 5 point vets (those with service in a recognized military campaign).
Each agency is different, but getting the foot in the door is easy, at least to get tested, anyway.
