Well when it comes to filling out some of the applications for some of the departmemnts, they want your work history, and not just your last 3 jobs. I mean all of them and I have the hardest time trying to remember every job I had growing in high school and in college and the dates and such. I know I had seen a link on here before for governmnet website that I could buy records of my work history, but I can't remember who it was through. Any help or advice would be great.

There are numerous online sources where you can have your employment history checked. I did a search by using "employment history check" and came up with a huge number of places that will do that for you. Of course, it isn't free, (the norm seems to be around $20.00 or so) but if it can provide the information you need, it may be worth it. Also, and I may be mistaken here, the IRS should have records of your employment from the tax forms you submitted so you may be able to get info from them as well.

Just a common sense tip here: When you do get the info you need, make several copies of it for future reference and verify that all the business addresses and phone numbers are current so your BI doesn't get sent on a wild goose chase for a company that moved or went out of business.

Good luck.

Go to the Social Security Admin website and you can download form 7050-4. The cost depends on how many years you want to go back. It takes awhile to get it back. I agree though, anything like this you get make copies so you save yourself the headache and money
