Pg County, Is Anyone Else Being Processed?

I have completed everything except the ride a long and the medical exam. Both will be done this week. Is anyone else applying for the July or the fall academy?

Im just waiting on the letter. I got a Non selection back in December, mainly because I wasnt finished in the process by the time the academy started. Now that I finished everything in April, Im ready to roll. I hate waiting, but thats how it is. Just be patient. You might get something a week or less and have to scramble to move and everything. Just be prepared now and have everything in line and go when they tell you. Have your apartment picked, your stuff ready and the money to move. If it doesnt work, call your recruiter and reapply for the next academy, theyll just refile your app and you dont have to go back for anything. Then you wait......AGAIN :(

Oh and everyday the letter doesnt show up, is one day closer my poor mailman gets his neck rung :D Though its not his fault, he's gotta be tired of hearing me **** and moan about it ;) Im sure he wishes I got it by now as much as me.

Pitts Kid....hope you get that offer soon. I did my ride a long and just like you, I saw lots of action. During that one shift, we went on a B&E in progress(homeowner had armed himself), fight at a nightclub(several suppossedly armed with guns), suspicious vehicle(occupant armed with fake Glock and removed at gunpoint by a recruit with his FTO) and my Officer said that was a relatively slow night. It really opened my eyes to what they do in the the districts surrounding DC. Lots of good experience and every new officer serves there for a year at minimum before a chance to transfer to a slower district. Good luck again, hope to go to the Academy with you.
