That is the same thing that happened to me when I applied with BSO two years ago. There is no rhyme or reason to their hiring process. What agency are you with now?

I also was a victim to those circumstances. Its a total shame on the way they conduct their hiring process/background investigations. This sounds like the sharpest "double-edged sword" I ever encountered. BSO says they want expirenced officers, but in order to get the "expirence" I guess your not suppose to step on anyones toes..!!

The same thing happen to a good friend of mines, And he was the most squared away guy, life experience/law enforcement training and everything. during his hiring phase, and BSO DQ for some minor discipline issues he had when he was just a kid at his first job ....as far I know BSO stands for Bull**** Sheriff Office.
Just my 2cents

Here is what I have noticed about their hiring process, If you have a background that is easy to investigate meaning no background you are golden. They will take a 19 year old with no history over any certified cop who has a letter or two in their file. If the investigator has to do work like call and see why you got a letter forget about it.

Then that means I'll be perfect for the position. ;)

BSO, like most other agencies in Broward County, have civilian HR departments. The agencies have virtually nothing to do with the process...

I agree it is a screwy situation.
