I currently use Officer.com as my main e mail provider. They are in the process of changing from Officer.com to OfficerMail.com but both work at this time.
I don't know why you can't sign up, I've used it for quite a while now.

I see your point now. I tired to find the sign up button but couldn't. I suggest that you put a thread in the Suggestion/Help forum and ask, or you can e mail Tim Dees at: editor@officer.com

Edit: I posted it for you, here is a link to the thread: Click Here (http://forums.officer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=646298#post646298)

Here's the reply I posted in the Suggestion/Help Forum:

You couldn't find the button because it's presently not there. The company uses a third party provider for the webmail service, and we buy X number of mailboxes from them, expanding the inventory as required. We ran out of mailboxes, and the guys that write the checks haven't bought any more as yet. I will prod them to do so, and hopefully you will soon the Officer.com webmail sign-up button live again. Unless something dramatic happens between now and then, the sign-up will be found here. If you try it right now, all you'll get is the log-in screen for those that have active accounts already.

In the meantime, if all you need is a free e-mail account, I'd recommend GMail. 2+ GB of storage and all sorts of extra features. They sometimes require that you be "invited" to sign up for an account. If that's the case, send me an e-mail to the address below, and I'll see that you get the invitation.

I just learned that we will be acquiring another block of officermail.com (not officer.com, as those are intended for the people that actually work here) accounts in a few days. Watch the home page for availability, but it shouldn't take long.

The Grand Lodge Fraternal Order of Police also offers free e-mail addresses to active and retired police officers now (members of course).
