Ok, I really need some help here. :(

I have been going to college part time, while working full time, to get my associate degree in Law Enforcement.
I am just about done, 1 summer semester and 1 fall semester left!!
My intention was to work as a police officer for a local police department, I am even interning at one right now.

Well, I just found out I have a slight hearing loss in my left ear at the 3000Hz level. I found this out during a medical exam for one of the police departments I am applying with. I am afraid this will keep me out of this job and any others!

My question is this.
Are there any police department's out there that don't use do a hearing test?
If there are, are they hiring?

What should I do? I'll take any advice to help me out! :(

I can be a great help to you on this topic..i too have a slight hearing loss, and was almost DQed during the process..i only made it through after i mentioned the listed links details to my recruiter... all the medical exams consist of hearing loss exams... i went through a lot of BULL CRAP because of that test.. what i would do is go to a hearing specialist and have official documents from that specialist in hand just incase anything does come up..have anymore ?'s in reference to this topic advise me VIA Private Message...
just a note if your "disability" can be rectified to meet the standards of the dept you can not be DQed due to your hearing loss see below good luck
