Arizona Sheriff Uses Anti-Smuggling Law and the department's 3,000-member posse reserve of trained volunteers to Target Illegal Immigrants.
My kudos goes out to the Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff for having the brass to enforce the law regardless of the cries of controversy from the Left leaning libs and mainstream media…
And now I hear that the Mexican government has hired a U.S. lawyer to sue the Sheriff and the county because of their actions....
WTF..............

Posse Comitatus
noun. It is a latin term meaning "possble force" where the senior law enforcement officer is given the right to include physically and mentally fit men and women to help him in taking into custody a criminal(s).These people act like a temporary police force who help in maintaning law and order.

Well, you can sue anyone - although it would be a stretch for Mexico to sue as a government entity. The benefit to a lawsuit, is that if it goes all the way to the Supreme Court, it establishes case law.
Our local government recently voted to calculate the cost in services of illegal immigration - should be interesting.

i'm glad that someone has the cajones' to do what is right. I'd like to see what would happen if a bunch of Americans started a demonstration in Mexico City over their "rights" in that country!

Actually - there was one a couple years ago. A whole bunch of people bought beach front property several years ago, and developed it into a cozy little enclave. Of course they couldn't "own" the land - they had a renewable 99 year lease.
The goverment evicted all those folks from their homes, with no compensation, saying the people they bought the leases from were not the legal owners.

Joe Arpaio, in my opinion, is a modern day hero. This is the same Sheriff that has brought us "Tent City" and the inmate's pink underwear.
Someone told me when they asked Joe about overcrowding his jail, he replied "I got plenty of tents."
He's a hero because he's doing what's right, not what the mob thinks he should do. He's not a polititian, he's a Sheriff. I just wish he'd move to Georgia.

I agree with you guys, that guy has what it takes. We need alot more like him to get the right thing done.
This is a blurb of an email I got the other day. Do you guys believe it or not. It comes from newsmax.com I guess:
>>Minuteman civilian patrols seeking to stem the tide of illegals are being routed out by U.S. Border agents!
According to NewsMax.com, our Border Patrol Agents are notifying the Mexican government about the location of Minuteman when they apprehend illegals.
"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It is unbelievable that our own government is sending intelligence to another country."<<

A while back, an inmate in one of Joes Tent Cities brought up that inmates are given lousy food, have no air conditioning, have horrible living conditions, and often get no sleep. He replied with something along the lines of "Tell me what soldiers in Iraq are doing? And they volunteered for that!"
Met the guy with my dad at the Scottsdale Train park before he was elected, great guy. Met him a few times after that, and hope he stays in his position for a very long time.

sheriff arpaio is using the power of his office and the arizona constitution to the max....good deal....he has the support, and power of the people behind him, and that's what makes this country great.

I wish all of the politicians in every state would serve the people like he does. They are worried about getting the votes of every minority group instead of taking care of their constituents. I don't have a problem with immigration, as long as our laws are observed and they assimilate into our culture. Most Latinos that I know, are against illegal immigration. They feel that if their families had to follow the rules, everyone should.
