Because I have gotten several PMs about Humboldt County Sheriff's Office inquires, I figure I would just post the information.
Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is hiring both Custody and Patrol Deputies. Our starting pay for step one is $19.27 per hour. We have ten steps at 2.5% steps. We have take home SUVs for patrol, SRT, Detective, and Narcotic possitions.
We are a small department with about twenty two sworn Patrol deputies. I'm not sure how many possitions we are down but I believe we are looking for five, to include a rural resident post in the McDermitt area.
The county has approx. 15000 people, while the city of Winnemucca (the county seat) has approx. 7000 people. We are getting ready to settle a contract and are projected to be one of the higher payed departments in northern Nevada. The cost of living is fairly low with the average home price being approx. $150,000.
