I've recently come across a New York City Hospital police badge and wanted to get the history of it. Its looks old but not abused and has the number 1403 and a pistol sharpshooter badge. No other marks. Just wanted to know if there was a website or someone out there that could tell me the history of who the cop was that had this badge or if someone knew him. Crap, maybe he'd want it back. Thanks.

Never even heard of the agency until now.

call the agency.

How did you come across the shield?

I'll tell you this, it has not been worn in quite a while. The HHC police had their guns taken away over 10 years ago.

I came across the shield in a bundle of fire dept badges (mostly from NY and NJ) at a flea market. It was the only police badge there. I had also heard (or read somewhere) that there was no hospital police in NYC anymore so I didnt know if i should call the regular NYPD or if i was S.O.L. Thanks for the replies though.
