View Full Version : Bush's drive to restore honor to the white house...
... Was seriously hindered by his daughter... Tsk, tsk; Like father like daughter I suppose... http://www.officer.com/ubb/wink.gif

Maybe we should talk about the humidor Billy Clinton used. Or maybe how he pardoned a fellow who was on the FBI's top ten most wanted list. This attack is a low blow and bringing it up on the forum tells a lot. Go to the DNC website with this trash.

If that's all she does in life, it's like no big deal. Trust me. I don't like it but there are allot worse things. I know officers who got MIP's in college. Best
Gosh this sounds like a real "nothing burger." Hey 123, what TV station are you going to go to work for if you ever grow up?

I must be missing the point........
How does his daughter, who does not reside in the White House, commiting a misdemeanor in another state, affect the integrity of the Presidency?

Hey there 123, is that the best you can do. So she is a normal 19 year old kid, big deal. Like father like daugter huh....does that mean Chelsea is into cigars too?? http://www.officer.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

"We herd sheep, we drive cattle, we lead people. Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way." General George S. Patton
The late night news had this as their top story. I don't know if the press spiked any stories about Chealsea but I know Al Gore's son had a couple of run in's with the law and it did not come out in any news media, only on the internet. I think it is another example of a double standard with the media. 123 this has nothing to do with the White House.
Who knows... http://www.officer.com/ubb/wink.gif The Secret Service is getting lazy... shouldn't they have been driving her around like they did for her drunk friend a few months back?

123,
While I'm not a big George W. fan (I was disappointed when John McCain dropped out of the race), the Democrats have had quite a few family embarassments themselves.
Bill Clinton has his brother Roger, who's still embarassing his brother with tales of "purchased" pardons and his own recent DUI arrest in LA.
Before that, Jimmy Carter was being embarassed by his brother Billy.
Of course, neither of them can hold a candle to the embarassing escapades of the Kennedy family.

Boy, I agree, 123. It's not a reflection at all on George W's capacity as president. Kids get MIP's all the time. The only reason it even made the news is because she's the president's daughter.

Yesh! Just like clinton having an affair! that never happens either...
Clinton never grew up. He was totally self absorbed and was a disgrace to the office. George W. had a wild past but has grow up and started to act responsible. Saying Clintons mistakes are alright because a 19 year old girl also made mistakes, is so illogical I don't think any further comment is needed. This is from Newsmax.
Former first lady Hillary Clinton has yet to comment on a report about her own daughter, Chelsea, who allegedly went on a wild spring break drinking binge in Aspen, Colo., last month.
According to Globe magazine, Secret Service agents had to intercede before the former first daughter became "sloppy drunk."
Though Miss Clinton, who turned 21 earlier this year, reportedly barhopped from one Aspen saloon to another in a visibly inebriated state, she was not cited by police for public intoxication.
The mainstream press did not report the Clinton drinking incident.
Like Chelsea, former vice president Al Gore's daughters had their difficulties with alcohol.
Gore's daughter Karenna, who is now one of her father's closest political advisers, went though her own "wild child" phase, with former high school classmates recently telling Star magazine that "she loved pot and booze bashes."
Karenna pal Anne Garofalo told Star that "Karenna was the first person you'd go to if you needed a partner in crime."
And in 1996 Gore's then-16-year-old daughter Sarah was cited for underage possession of alcohol, in an episode similar to Jenna Bush's encounter with police Friday morning.
That same year the Gores' then-14-year-old son Albert III was suspended from tony St. Albans prep school for smoking marijuana at a school dance.
The press hushed up the younger Gore's drug bust after his father personally contacted news editors and asked them to kill the story.

So what does this prove...he's a father with a daughter who are only human.
More media sensationalism...and they call themselves "professional" journalists.

Very true, 123, but wait....was it Bush's daughter or was it Bush who drank? OK, just checking. And, was it Clinton, THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, or was it his daughter who had the affair while in office? OK, just checking. Thanks for clearing that up.
