Tufts University Department of Public Safety - Police Officer
Tufts University Police Department of Public Safety is seeking candidates for entry-level police officer positions who are graduates of an accredited full municipal academy or equivalent, have a minimum of one year full-time experience as a law enforcement officer or other acceptable related experience, preferably in a campus environment. Candidates applying must be able to learn and apply the principles of First Aid and CPR, have a valid Mass driver's license, as well as a current MA LTC and a high school diploma. Must be qualified for appointment as Special State Police Officer. Must have the willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays and to report to duty at any time. Good communications skills and knowledge of crime prevention. Ability to pass exams that will demonstrate ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
