What operational boots do you wear?

We currently wear the Magnum but they are useless when running up and down steel stairs and on wet concrete.

We have a need for a light weight boot, that can support a shine, and can grip on a variety of surfaces.

I hear some tac teams wear the Danner Boots?

Any suggestions?

Matterhorns: they're good to -40*. They suck at running, but at -40* I'm not chasing anyone. They'll eventually come in out of the cold :D

Danner Ft. Lewis boots. No good for running but that's what rookies are for. A lot of our work is off the pavement and it gets really wet around here. Nothing fazes the Danners.

Danners are pretty good, but if you need more flexibility then the Adidas GSG9 Boot is well worth a look

i've become quite the fan of all things 5.11, including their boots. ive had a pair for almost a year now, with no substantial problems. they are the zippered sides, with a nice hidden pocket. i keep an extra folding knife in one, and cuf key in the other.
