Has anyone who went through the open enrollment process heard back about the June class? I really hope I got into it, but haven't heard from the academy yet. Crossing my fingers .

Good evening!
If you really wanted, I'm sure you'll get it. Stay focus. Continue to work hard for it. Wait patiently.
Respectfully.

BOBW, i'm in the June class as well. Almost less than a month...keep on PTing. Good Luck.
Hey just curious are you going to the after hour pt sessions up at the academy? They are tuesday and thursday til the class starts on the 26th. I've been to 2 and they are helping a ton.

No I haven't...I've been working nights so unfortunately I haven't been able to do so. I've been working out everyday though. What's it like so far at the workouts? Keep on PTing and cya on June 26th.
They are pretty rough to say the least. We are running for 20 minutes after 3 sets of push ups diamond pushups, leg lifts, reg situps, foot cross crunches and pushups that you go down for 2 seconds. I work nights too but it starts at 5:30. When do you work? Well good luck and i look foward to meeting you. Cya

I usually work from 2:30-10:30. Thanks for the info on the workout i'll being exercising using those methods. By the way, do u have any type of
LE experience?
No prob, the only law enforcement experience i have is being a dispatcher. I'm pretty familiar with how to run subjects, ten code, calling out on things. I know the lingo but that's as far as my experience goes. It's a lot different on the other side of the fence. Do you have any experience? By the way are you open enrollment or did you get hired on by someone.

I just submitted my application on June 6 hopefully i can land a spot in the academy for Jan 07.
what you guys mean by open enrollment?
Essentially, going through STLCMA in the open enrollment programs means you get the exact same training as all other St. Louis County recruits, you just are not paid as you go through and are not guaranteed a job. I also think you have to pay either as you go through or a certain point after.
At least this was my understanding when I had put my application in. They just took too long for me and I went to Eastern Missouri Police Academy (in St. Charles). I had no problem getting a job other than I was being very picky. However, I got a reserve spot less than 2 months out of the academy and I am getting bumped from reserve to full time in just under 2 weeks.
