Wow! Last time I visited these boards they only had 2 post. I'm glad to see it more active.

Anyway. I've been coming here for a bit but the main boards seem too hostile to outsiders so I don't post much or follow along. This however has a more homely feel like Kansas does. I've got my foot in the door for law enforcement and now I pretty much got to decide how ambitious or cautious I want to be. It looks like we have the best of both worlds with veterans and fresh bodies so maybe I can learn a bit.

Welcome to the boards. Even though I don't live in Kansas and never have, I frequent this section quite a bit. I will be making a transfer out to the Kansas City area within the year. Currently, I'm in the hiring process with several departments. It's exciting but I'm also a little nervious to live in a place where I don't know anybody and am very unfamiliar with.

Anyway, what departments are you looking at?

I'm in the same boat as Rabbit. We are in the process with some of the same departments. I will be graduating college shortly and will be moving out to the KCK area but have always lived in the Chicago area. I'll have a busy April testing with Lawrence and Leawood. At least 3 of my 4 weekends in April will be spent driving down to Kansas and testing.
