Yes, there is a guy who works in the jail who's last name is higgins.

Hello, I am interested in relocating and becoming a Police/Law Enforcement Officer in the Western NY area. I am originally from Buffalo NY but moved to VA 2 years ago and became a Police Officer here. I would love to go back home and work but I am finding it hard to take tests because I am not a NYS resident. Does anyone have any information that will help me? I know Rochester NY and Syracuse NY do not have resident requirements... Any other info? Thanks

I have a suggestion, stay away from western new york. Its a dieing area.

Are you with Amherst? And what is a Buffalo Special Police Officer. Are they like auxilery officers from years ago?
