There everywhere. Just go to Yahoo Yellow Pages (http://yp.yahoo.com/), and search for "shooting range" or "gun range". Do some research online though, before you go and shoot. It is harder break bad habits than form new ones. Just look up some basic fundamentals (ie. sight picture, stance, grip, breathing, etc.) before you go out there.

A majority of the ones that I found on line were outdoor shooting ranges for hunting and clay target shooting.

And also I wanted to ask everyone what are the qualifications needed in firearm training in basic police academy?

The folks who have no training and little experience with firearms actually do quite well. The instructors that I know, find it easier to teach someone that knows nothing, rather than those that think they already know everything and have many bad habits.
