Hello once again. Thank you all for your help about the Johnson County Sheriffs Department. I was wondering if anybody knows what the hiring process is like for Leawood, KS. I sent in an application and resume and should be taking the written test on April 8th. However, on their website it says "Offers of employment will be conditional upon passing all appropriate tests including a drug screen." This is all they say about their hiring process. Do you know what the other tests are? Obviously they will have a background check, but do they have a physical, oral board, psychological, polygraph, medical, interview with the Chief, or anything else? Just seems strange that they don't state what the process entails. I'm not scared about anything (just normal nervousness) or trying to hide anything. I

Hey Code3 I'll also be there for the written. Make sure you get a lower score then me. ;) I'm not sure what the hiring process is either. I guess we'll find out on the 8th.

There is a lot of competition, or at least there was when I applied with them. The day I took the test there were at least a couple hundred others for just two jobs. As for the rest of the testing it is just as you wrote it (or at least was 5 or 6 years ago). Good luck!

Thanks guys. I just called yesterday to RSVP my spot for the written exam on April 8th. Do you know if they have a math section on the written? I took the written exam for the Olathe Police Department and got over 90% on all sections except the math section. I'm embarrassed to say that I got under a 70% on the math section so I failed the entire thing. Anybody else have info on this department?

See you there Rabbit!
