He wants to know if it is possible to get into the Air Marshalls with JUST a four year degree and nothing else.
I am trying to convince him that you need to get a few years of experience under your belt (like local LE) before you should apply, even though the site says only a 4 year degree is required.
What do you guys think?

FAM's actually don't require a 4-yr degree.

Pay Band G: Qualifying experience for the SV-G level includes three (3)
years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to the GS-4
level which shows ability to: analyze problems, gather pertinent data, and
recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively
orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in
administrative, professional, technical, investigative or other
responsible work.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: The experience requirement for
the SV-G level may be met by successful completion of a full 4-year course
of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited
college or university.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of
successfully completed undergraduate education and experience may be used
to meet the experience requirements.

Sgt answered that one simply enough. However tell your friend that he may meet the minimun requirements, but getting hired is another point. The degree wont hurt, in fact it will be a plus, but he should be able to show some work experience as well.
Good luck.
