What flashlight to you carry on duty..????

Personally, i'm quite into flashlights and similar equipment..

On my body armour, I carry the following;

Surefire C2 (which is a fantastic small flashlight. Thoroughly recommended !)

In my kitbag, I have a Surefire M3T, for open area searches etc..

My force only issues mini-maglites...which just aren't up to the job, in my opinion.

Your life can rely on the quality of your flashlight..and you should buy the best you can afford...

I carry several flashlights. Im not too into going to dark spaces. I have a Stinger that I carry on my belt, I have a Strion that I also carry on my belt. I have a Ultra Stinger that I keep in my duty bag. And I have a M3 for my Glock. I can light up a small 3rd world country.

Some people get crazy with flashlights. I guess I am boring, I just have a rechargeable streamlight and a stinger for the belt. Nothing fancy here.

I'm one of those who won't be caught without a good light and a good backup light.

Surefire 9AN on my duty belt, extra battery always charging in my patrol vehicle

Surefire M2 as back up

Surefire 6P in my off-duty flashlight/mag holster

I was issued a Stinger and do use that on occassion but usually keep it as an additional.

I carry a Streamlight UltraStinger as a duty light. Streamlight M3 on handgun, Pentagon MS3 on rifle, Surefire on Shotgun, Night-Ops Gladius on duty belt and a Surefire M3 with high output bulb on SRT. I like my lights.......Oh yeah and a X200 on my off duty gun.

I have:
- 1 no-name 1 million candlepower rechargeable searchlight (carried in a tool box in the trunk of my patrol car);
- 1 Pelican M6 xenon, powered by 2 Powerizer RCR123A 3.0 volt lithium-ion cells (kept in above tool box as a backup);
- 1 Pila GL3, with white/blue LED tail-cap, powered by 3 Powerizer RCR123A 3.6 v li-ion cells (always on my duty belt);
- 1 MXDL 3 AAA 3 watt LED light (WAS always on my duty belt);
- 3 Dorcy 2 D 9" LED traffic wands (in the tool box);
- 1 Mag-lite 2 C, with an HPR40 bulb, camless medium orange peel reflector and powered by 2 x Pila 150A 3.7 v li-ion cells (in the tool box);
- 1 Mag-lite 3 C, with a hardened glass lens, KPR118 bulb, and powered by 3 x 18500 3.7 v li-ion cells (in the tool box);
- 1 Gladius (not in service);
- 1 Striker VG LED, powered by 2 Powerizer RCR123A 3.0 v li-ion cells (PROBABLY will replace the MXDL).

Except for the 1 M CP searchlight and Gladius, all of the above lights, and their chargers, are loaned out to another LEO to demonstrate to his co-workers at a convention. When the collection comes back, I will probably pass it around to the local PS, FD and EMS for their demonstration.

I don't like the dark! ;)

let's see, stinger on the belt, strion in the BDU pocket, sometimes along with the Surefire G2. SL-20 in the trunk, and i have a couple of handheld spotlights that rarely see any type of use other than farting around lighting stuff up in the middle of no where.
