Frustrating day.........

We had in excess of 90 whites and Hispanics brawling on the yard yesterday afternoon.Sorting participants and placing the many major players in segregation took up a good part of the day.Once evening chow was secured,management staff proceeded to give out several hundred pizzas from an outside vendor to those inmates who had bought them from state pay.The second half of population will receive theirs today.I will never understand why a convicted felon receives any perks,let alone a pizza off the street.I'am sure that pizza delivery persons have been victims of a few of these punks.If only they could know that pies are being delivered to their assualters inside the fence.I expect the fights and brawls,but when management continues to make decisions like these,I tend to get peeved,to say the least.Ohio has gotten so soft in the 10 years I've been with the department.In all honesty,it's becoming very difficult to take pride in my job.

On March 10, a man told police he was getting gas at a station in the 2600 block of Walnut Street when a Hispanic man approached him and asked if he wanted sex. He handed the man a piece of paper with the word "pizza" written on it. The man told the witness he sold pizza.

The witness told police the word pizza is Spanish slang for sex.

The witness told the man he wasn't interested in sex and drove away. Later that day, the witness called the number he was given and a man answered, saying that he has good pizza.

Krispy Kreme donuts last month...fish fry and barbecued beef ribs in the near future...I'am just curious if any other departments are running camp hugathug programs.It's time that the public knows what their public servants are doing.

Well, how about writing John Stossle(I know I butchered his name) off of 20/20, he always likes to do stories such as these and I think the public would love to watch it. It might get a few mad enough to start pressuring the state govt's to remove these perks. I know in the Navy our prisoners got to read the Bible, Torah, ect and sit in their cell all day.
