Olympics!

Tonights the night - Opening Ceremonies - I've got my fingers crossed the higher ups will let us watch at work!

I am a life-long fan of the Olympics - both summer and winter games. I find every sport - including curling - exciting and fun to watch.

Anyone else?

I love most of the sports but I could do w/o the curling and other boring sports. The speed skating is incredible. Do they still have the Biathalon where they ski and shoot. That is quite amazing that they can control themselves good enough to hit that pin head of an X ring.

Yup - still have the biathalon! I think there is a new snow-boarding event too - looks like motorcross on snow.

As a Norwegian-American, I lean towards the Nordic events. ;)

Actually if we get one......possibly in the skeleton I will be over the moon....
Failing that I will be adopting Norway in the nordic events and Canada in the Hockey Eh!

Well, I saw bits and pieces last night - looked like an amazing show.

I see there are already some athletes dq'd for drug/performance enhancing infractions. :(

We like the summer games better.
I wished that NBC would've given us more info in Int'l athletes than dwelling on Bode :rolleyes: & some of the others. Frankly, some of those US athletes were obnoxious & acted like little kids
