Has anyone experienced a department doing a background as the first step of employment in Michigan.

What department. I see your in Central MI. Might be a way to seperate canidets quickly. Im sure whatever department there is there is a ton but it does seem kinda odd.

A full background is usually labor intensive and costly. Because so many candidates wipe out first on the application review, written, oral or physical agility, it doesn't make a lot of sense financially to do the background first.
