Hello,
I just recently submitted an application to PBSO. I am currently enrolled at Indian River Academy and set to graduate in September. I've done a couple ride along's with Distric 5 and know 100% for sure that PBSO is the department that I want to work for without a doubt. Can you tell me what my chances are to get hired after graduation and successfully passing the FDLE exam and all PBSO requests? Thanks. :)

From what I understand they are not on a hiring freeze. They are down a lot and are looking to takeover a few area's.

Yeah the site times out after 30mins. Go to Application 2 and you can either save it to your computer and work on it or print it out. No matter what though you have to submit your app. via email.

Hi L.E. rules,
I was wondering if you could inform me as to what you have done different. I applied at PBSO last year, completed all exams and tests. The background was completed in August. I was then told to wait because of the hiring freeze. In March I was told that I could apply for the LE/corrections dual academy but I have to do at least two years of corrections. I had to retake a few tests and my backgrond was completed again yesterday. Am I going through all this because I am not self sponsored or is it something else? It seems like you are going straight to becoming a sheriff and not having to do two years of corrections?
Thanks for your help.

is PBSO currently in a hiring freeze?
Yes, but so is most of FL since Amend 1 was passed, most agenies includ pbso are hiring off the list to fill vacancies as they arise only...
