Hi all,

I just tested for POST and got my class A through reciprocity, I am interested in St louis PD, does any have any insight on the hiring process? also, if you have a class A do they still require you to attend their academy? Thanks

SLPD when I went through back in 98, was the written, a very easy physical test, as well as all the mombo jumbo that goes along with any other agency. As far as a lateral goes, I know that there is a retread course that officers with experiance can go through to learn the city ordinances and radio codes.
I have to admit my stay with SLPD was fun, and I kinda do miss it, but working in the county isn't all that bad. With a Class "A" county MO Post you can work anywhere in the State of Missouri. I hope I helped you out some. And i fI can be of any more assistance, please feel free to drop me a line.
