I am considering an assignment in Iraq with DynCorp, If anyone has experience - firsthand please - with DynCorp and the Iraq missions can you let me know? I am looking to hear from the grunts rather than the recruiters. I am looking to be a civilian police advisor or mentor. Any help would be appreciated. Email at Dude0795@yahoo.com if you wish to be private. Thanks in advance.

Second hand info, but a friend of mine got screwed by them. He says to beware.

I have four friends serving now and one just returned. Two of the four still serving were in Bosnia and now in Afghanistan.

A couple of them have told me that it can get pretty petty with their policies and cliques.

Good Luck

I have some friends in Afganistan and they have nothing but great things to say about it. If fact they just had a golf tournament, but it is up north where the hostilities have calmed down some. I wanted to get up there but so far all I am being offered is Iraq. Reading the posted thread, and many others in other places. It seems to be a matter of persepective. I hear good and bad. I am still up in the air. As a military vet and a veteran officer in a dead end department who made the huge mistake of thinking the grass looked greener - I'd hate to do it again.

Then again, $120,000.00 is mighty fine money and I am bored out of my skull here in Mayberry.

Thanks fellas, Dog when is a good time to give a call?

You can also post at Tactical Forums and Strategos Forums. Lots of operators there, too.
