I got the new Fly Pen at Target for my son's birthday last week. I got him the Batman game, but also the math program in the hope that it would help us both with the dreaded homework battle.

Tonight, in the middle of division - he says "wait! I need to get something!" and gets the pen/math cartridge out. It helps you do your homework!!!! It doesn't give you the answers, but tells you to go higher or lower - it's amazing! It writes like a pen, but you use special paper, and it talks to you!

He's 10 - so if you are looking for a cool gift in that age range that actually may benefit them as well - I recommend it highly!

Sounds fun, I know what I am getting myself. Forget the rest of you, this sounds like fun.

My 10-year-old son has asked for one for Christmas, but the price tag was a little daunting for me. :(

Yeah - $100 just for the pen. And I kept the boxes when his reaction was non-commital. But, the fact that he got it out on his own when he was struggling last night made it all worth while!

I feel really bad that homework has been such a battle. I try to help him, without getting in his face but we end up bumping heads more often then not. Now we can have a little fun with it - whoo hoo!
