OK..here it goes. I've been lurking on this site for quite awhile trying to find info on the Atlanta Police Department. Most of the info that I've read is kinda dated and from out of state applicants. I have a few questions for anyone willing to answer because I can't seem to get in touch with a recruiter. Thanks in advance.
1. For those that live in the city of Atlanta, would you say that the hiring process timeline was about the same for those out-of-state?
2. About how many classes do they run a year? What would you say the ratio of men to women was?
3. Are they hiring due to attrition or are they just expanding their force? Any clue on how many they plan to hire?
Any info that anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. I've already put in for Gwinnett and tested...but APD keeps sticking out in the back of my mind and I'm trying to decide if I want to go downtown and turn in the application
