I am currently a State Trooper in Florida with 3 years of experience and a 4 year degree. I am thinking of moving because Florida is turning into a mad house. The median price of houses in my area is over $250K. Also, all of FHP's Troopers get paid the same, regardless if he/she has served 1 year or 10 years. I have family in North Carolina (Mooresville - on Lake Norman) and have always enjoyed visiting. I always thought that it would be a great place to live and work. If there are any NC Troopers out there that can give some info on what it's like being a Trooper for NC, please reply.

You will still have to attend the Highway Patrol school in Raleigh. If you need any advice about the Mooresville area, let me know. I live in Denver, NC, just across the lake from Mooresville.
