Hello, is their any retired NYPD MOS living in NC? I'd like to know how much NC taxes your pension. Thanks Dominic

About 15 years ago there was a lawsuit by retired federal employees who were being taxed on the federal pension while state and local retirees were not being taxed on there's. Now, state and local pensions are taxed for NC retirees, at least for those of us vested after 1986 or so. I can not give you a definite answer, because I am not retired from out of state, but I do not think you get any special consideration. This is my understanding and I do not know for certain that it is true, though.
