:) Hello NJPD

Hey,

that's one thing I had to get used to when I moved to NJ from NY 4 years ago.

South jersey people are phillie fans in all sports.

But up hear, you're either jets/giants/yankees/mets fan. pretty weird.

But this is jersey for you.

Growing up in NY, always made fun of New Joyzee and always told myself I would never live here. Well never say never. Money talks especially in law enforcement. :D

This will be my 3rd year doing the plunge at Jenkinson's.
Like I told Buttercup, it's really no that bad. Once you go in the water, you body becomes soooo frekin numb that you won't even feel the cold air when you get out. Then you dry off, get dressed and let Jenkinson's defrost you, if you know what i mean.

But anyway I'm up to hang before the plunge.

Jumping in water that makes your body so numb you don't feel anything...I'm gonna have to think about that one! I don't drink but if I decide to do this I might just be a drinker for a day lol.
I've worked every one so far since I have been OTJ. When we get our schedules for 2006...If I am off or can take off, I will be there.

Very true. But you know, perhaps our natural goodness will keep the halos from straying too far from us. It will be far more important to keep other things from falling. :D

I don't really follow football but this house is a Giants house for sure. My husband is a crazy Giants fan and we have season tickets. He focuses his vacation days on Giants games rather than holidays lol.
I follow hockey and am a Devils fan. I am sooo excited that they are back! I also love baseball and the Yanks. I grew up playing softball and played through college.
I love to fish. I grew up fresh water fishing in the Adirondacks. My hubby is an avid salt water fisherman and we visit the Outer Banks NC twice a year to fish. Love to camp, especially in the Adirondacks.

Those mountains are gorgeous. I dated someone in the USAF that was from TN. What a beautiful area. In place of a bachelorette party, my maid of honor and I drove cross country from NJ to CA. It was the best time. We went to Nashville, Fort Worth, Carlsbad NM to see the caverns, Roswell NM (freaky place), Grand Canyon, Vegas...and we ended up in Southern CA. It was such a fun trip.

I hope you don't lose power too. It sux big time. I'm afraid of the dark. The monsters get bad under my bed and start grabing my feet. :(

Yeah he does need something. I will start thinking! :D

Same here. The last time it happened, it was 11 or so and I was in the middle of the stairway on my way up to bed. I just knew that a monster was lurking....

Glad I am not alone on this one! A lot of people think I am nuts.

Well, the power is freaking out again so I am going to shut this thing down before something happens to the puter. I'll be back when the chaos is over. Have fun! :p

yeah...and almost went to Morris County College and even went to the Morris County Police Academy for classes a few years back...it was impressive.Did you go there? ...Actually you said earlier you lived in Morris but worked somewhere else....sorry sleepy-eyed still....

 The children are up!!!!!! and there is no school today!!!

Hey, we may as well start a South Jersey thread, since we're all WEIRD ;)

Did you go to the police academy at Sea Girt? I was married to a Pennsville police officer (while he attended the academy there, also). That was a TOUGH academy.

As for South Jersey, i love it, if i had to choose a part of Jersey...LOL. I dont like traffic, and we dont have any here. It's mostly farmland, and very quiet. Yes, there are some yahoos down here, but we're not all like that. There are many nice spots in South Jersey that arent along the ocean.

I grew up in Pennsville, with summers spent in Avalon, and both of them are very nice towns. I just dont like the Jersey weather, that's why i'd like to live someplace cooler.

This is just a continuation from another thread but did the Jersey Squad here get anything on AG Guidelines concerning HR 218 ?....things are slow to reach this end of the informational septic system...

I hate this state!

This is ridiculous. Typical NJ liberalism at work. Shame it won't hold up though since it's a FEDERAL law. I can tell you one thing for sure I damn well won't be treating any out of state officers as "civilians" if they have their firearm.

We'll I won't be reading the PBA newsletter any time soon since I'm in the FOP  but I'm sure I'll get the scoop soon enough....lol

Funny how NJ thinks it can ursurp Federal authority just whenever it wants too.....Although granted HR 218 only refers to the "right to carry" and not to "Police Powers" to arrest for crimes which were NOT commited in the officers presence......WTF...slap me... It's Saturday night, I'm off and I'm still rambling on over Policework......
